What Is A Hybrid Mattress?
A hybrid mattress combines two types of sleep technology that each do something the other can't.
The base of a hybrid is built around pocket springs: individual coils, each encased in their own fabric pocket, that move independently to support your body wherever it needs it. Because each spring responds to pressure on its own, you get targeted support across your whole body rather than one-size-fits-all resistance.
On top of the springs sit one or more layers of memory foam, gel foam, or other comfort materials. These layers contour to your shape, cushioning pressure points like your hips, shoulders, and lower back, and absorbing movement so that your partner's 3am shuffle stays on their side of the bed.
The result is a mattress that sleeps cooler than a pure foam mattress, supports you more precisely than a traditional spring mattress, and provides a level of comfort that neither can deliver on its own.
All OTTY hybrid mattresses use tall (16cm) encapsulated pocket springs - taller than the industry standard - which gives you deeper, more consistent spinal support across every size and sleeping position.
