How thick is the OTTY Original?
The OTTY Original is 25cm deep. This depth accommodates the full layer construction - base foam, encapsulated pocket springs, reflex foam, memory foam, and the thick knitted cover - without being unnecessarily bulky.
How many pocket springs does the OTTY Original have?
Depending on the size, the OTTY Original contains up to 2,000 individually encapsulated pocket springs, each 16cm tall. Each spring moves independently, which maximises support across the entire sleeping surface and minimises motion transfer, so if your partner moves in the night, you're less likely to feel it.
Will the OTTY Original help with back or joint pain?
The OTTY Original is one of OTTY's most accredited mattresses for back and joint support, alongside the Pure range. If disturbed sleep due to back or joint issues is a factor in your decision, this is one of the models we'd point you towards.
Will I sleep hot on this mattress?
The OTTY Original is specifically designed to combat overheating. Small perforations run throughout the foam layers, creating what OTTY calls an Airflow system that allows fresh air to circulate and excess heat to escape. The encapsulated pocket springs also contribute to natural airflow through the core of the mattress.
Can I try the mattress before committing?
Yes. The OTTY Original comes with a 100-night risk-free trial. If you're not satisfied within that period, OTTY will collect the mattress for free and issue a full refund.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes. OTTY offers 0% interest finance through DivideBuy, available over 3, 6, 9, or 12 months.
Do I need to rotate the mattress?
OTTY recommends rotating the mattress once a month for the first 12 months, then once every three months after that. To make this easier, the OTTY Original has handles on the underside of the cover.
Can I remove and clean the cover?
Yes, the cover is removable and suitable for dry cleaning.
